Garage Door One Light Red One Green
If both the red source and green sensor lights are on and not blinking then the door mechanism is working properly.
Garage door one light red one green. Did pull screw level to see if that was an issue re engaged lever not sure if did it up or down and still same problem. My genie garage door won t open. Replaced the door sensors and alignment appears to be fine as both green red lights are constant. How long have you been dealing with this. Each sensor will usually have a light. Re align them by moving one of them until the red light stays lighted.
That there are no obstructions. I ll do all i can to help. If one or both of the lights are off check the fuses breakers and plugs for problems. Many times the malfunction can be due to a loose connection or broken wire.
Sweep the garage floors and look through the sidings to ensure that there are no objects to obstruct the door. If the red light is blinking the sensors are not aligned. Inspect each sensor to make sure the green or red power indicator lights are. At that point a homeowner may want to try.
Since the lack of power supply is a common problem check the wires around the sensor when the led lights are not flashing. Raise the garage door using the control button on the garage wall or the remote control unit from a vehicle. If just the red source led is out unplug the mechanism check the wiring and plug it back in. One will have a green light used to show that the units are powered up and the other will have a red light to show that there s no obstruction between the sensors and that they re seeing each other.
These sensors are little black boxes found on either side of the bottom of the garage door. I put a new battery in the remote too. One will have a green light that signifies power to the units and the other will have a red light that signifies that the sensors are seeing each other i e. One sensor is red and one is green.
If getting debris away from the door makes no difference then there s more to the story.
